Salary information in the survey was normalized to the cost of living in Indianapolis, yielding comparable results for each region. Participants were asked to multiply salary plus housing (base compensation) by the factor for their region according to the document below. Responses were given as salary ranges.

Salary range results presented a normal distribution. The mode (the most frequent response) is the $70,000-79,999 range. The median base compensation also lies somewhere in this range, most likely in the lower half.
The interquartile range—that is, the range where the middle 50% of responses lie—appears to be $60,000 to $80,000. Keep in mind that these numbers reflect the cost of living in Indianapolis. In order to apply these to your region, go back to the table above and divide by the factor for your region.
For example, compensation of $70,000 in Indianapolis provides the equivalent lifestyle of $84,236 in the Central Rocky Mountain Region, based in Denver.
70,000 / 0.831 = 84,235.86
The survey also collected information about health care benefits and Pension Fund dues. All responding regions are paying the full 14% Pension Fund dues for the regional minister. Slightly over half of the responding regions are currently participating in Church Wide Health Care.
Users of this information should note that comparison to other regions is only one method of determining fair and appropriate compensation for regional ministers.
