James (Mickey) Farmer
Dr. Jim “Mickey” Farmer, age 86, of North Little Rock, died January 1, 2015. He was born February 9, 1928 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late James Sr. and Sally Mae Farmer. Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Birdye; children, Dennis (Vicki), Delane Goodwin (Bobby), Danny (Rita); grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Jon, Chad, Anna, and Kelli; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ethan, Caden, Caspin, Abigail, and step-great-grandchild Audrey; two sisters, Frances Powell and Elizabeth Hoss.
Dr. Farmer was a retired minister of Park Hill Christian Church having served there 23 years. He also served at churches in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee. He was an avid volunteer, and loved golf and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite project was creating the sign that makes Park Hill Christian Church known as the church with the sign on JFK.
